The bar area is both light and airy in the summer and warm and snug during the winter months. Customers have the choice of sitting at the bar or occupying one of the booths. In the winter season the now famous fireplace roars into action, offering both warmth and that special atmosphere for the colder months.
The pub does not have a jukebox or any fruit machines (hurrah). It does however offer intelligent conversation and witty banter (on a good day!). There are playing cards and backgammon available. The landlord will be only to happy to take on all comers at the latter.
There is a covered garden at the back of the bar which is used both in the summer and winter. This is an ideal area for private functions and can be booked in advance with the option of food if required. To book, please email Mike at the address at the bottom of the page. Children are welcome in the garden until early evening. The bar is from 11.00 - 12.00 Monday to Saturday and from 12.00 - 12.00 on Sundays.
